The motor has high acceleration and deceleration, as well as low inertia, and offers high accuracy and repeatability when operated as a DC servo motor.

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Moticont in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the LVCM-010-013-01 linear voice coil motor for laser beam steering and filtering, vibration damping, work holding and clamping, assembly, sorting, packaging, and sampling.

The LVCM-010-013-01 clean brushless DC linear servo motor measures 0.375 inches in diameter and the length at mid-stroke is 0.81 inches long. The miniature voice coil motor has a high force-to-size ratio with a continuous force of one ounce, a peak force of 3.2 ounces, and a 0.25-inch stroke.

The motor has high acceleration and deceleration, as well as low inertia, and offers high accuracy and repeatability when operated as a DC servo motor in a closed servo loop using a position sensor.

This miniature linear motor has a 2-56 UNC-2B threaded mounting hole in the housing and a 2-56 UNC-2B threaded mounting hole in the coil end for integration into new and existing applications.

A plug-and-play system including an encoder and servo controller also is available. For more information contact Moticont online at www.moticont.com.
