Quiet low-noise radiation-hardened DC-DC converter for power electronics space applications offered by VPT

BLACKSBURG, Va. – VPT Inc., a HEICO company in Blacksburg, Va., is introducing the SLNP17-100CQ DC-DC converter for noise-sensitive RF space applications that demand precision and reliability.

The SLNP17-100CQ DC-DC power supply offers quiet and low noise outputs of less than 0.25 millivolts, and uses a multi-stage approach to reject noise for conducted emissions and conducted susceptibility.

This quad-output radiation-hardened power electronics device offers an integrated electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter, and delivers as much as 17 Watts of power and is configurable with four outputs: 5 to 8 volts, 5 volts to 8 volts, 12 volts, and minus 6 volts to minus 5 volts.

The SLNP17-100CQ can be customized, and is built to withstand harsh radiation environments. As a space-qualified product, the SLNP17-100CQ guarantees total ionizing dose (TID) performance to 100 krad(Si) and single-event effects (SEE) performance to 85 MeV/mg/cm2.

Ruggedized for long-term mission space applications, this power supply is suited for geosynchronous orbit, and meets most 100-volt bus specifications.
