HWS3000 measures 270-by-150-by-61-millimeter, with output voltages of 24-, 48-, 60- or 130-volts, with programmable output currents to maximum rating.

SAN DIEGO – TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. in San Diego is introducing the 3,000-Watt HWS3000 programmable AC-DC power supplies for test and measurement, semiconductor fabrication, RF amplifiers, laser machining, printing, and industrial equipment applications.

The HWS3000 AC-DC power supplies come in 270-by-150-by-61-millimeter cases, and offer output voltages of 24-, 48-, 60- or 130-volts and output currents are programmable from zero up to their maximum rating. The HWS3000 series is available with an 85 - 265-volt AC single-phase or three-phase 170 - 265-volt AC input.

Output programming comes from a serial RS485 interface or analog signals, and the power electronics devices offer a variable speed fan with typically 45 decibels audible noise at less than 70 percent load, and a 25-degree Celsius ambient temperature.

The HWS3000G power supplies can deliver 1500 Watts with a low-line single-phase input voltage (85 to 132-volt AC) and 3000 Watts at high-line (170 to 265-volts AC). The HWS3000GT provides 3000 Watts from a three-phase input voltage of 170 to 265-volt AC.

A 5-volt 2-amp standby voltage, remote on/off, remote sense, fan fail and power good signals are fitted as standard. With efficiencies of up to 93 percent, internal heating is reduced, allowing operation in the compact package size.

Safety certifications include IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and IEC/EN62477-1 (OVC III) with CE/UKCA marking for the Low Voltage, EMC, and RoHS Directives. The units meet EN55032A, EN55011-A and FCC-A conducted and radiated emissions. The series also complies with the EN 61000-3-2 harmonics and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
