These solenoids consist of 18 different models based on voltage power, duty cycle, attractive force, and stroke length.

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Magnetic Sensor Systems (MSS) in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the S-17-85 series of "C" frame pull-type solenoids for fire-suppression systems, cabinet locks, door controls, farm machinery, transmission shifting, valve control, disconnects, sorting equipment, medical dispensing, mixing, and vending machines.

These solenoids are for motion control, and consist of 18 different models based on voltage power, duty cycle, attractive force, and stroke length.

MSS solenoid coils typically use 23-to-40-American Wire Gauge (AWG) windings with Class "F" insulation to protect the solenoid during long duty cycles. Operating voltage range is from 3 to 429 volts DC, and from 5 to 40 Watts.

The compact high-force-to-size S-75-85 "C" Frame series solenoids are 0.85 inches wide by 0.92 inches high by 1.74 inches long and have a 1-inch stroke.

The noncaptive plunger or actuator is 0.312 inches in diameter with a clevis end for load attachment. A low friction brass guide and PTFE coating on the plunger assures long life. , Solenoids feature 0.187 spade connectors and two M4 by 0.7 or 8-32 threaded mounting holes.
