These power supplies offer expanded input ranges of 16-to-80-volts DC, 90-to-210-volts DC for naval applications, in addition to 9-to-40-volts DC.

LE HAILLAN, France – Gaia Converter in Le Haillan, France, is introducing an expansion of the company's MGDS-500 series DC-DC converters to include 500-Watt high-reliability isolated half-brick DC-DC converters for military ground vehicles, avionics, and naval applications.

These power supplies offer expanded input ranges of 16-to-80-volt DC (O-series) and 90-210-volt DC (Y-series) for naval applications Mil-STD 1399-390, in addition to the existing 9-to-40-volt DC (H-series).

The MGDS-500 series provide single outputs of 12-, 15-, 24-, 28-volt DC to design systems compliant with MIL-STD 1275, 704 1-1399, or DO 160 input voltage transient voltage specs.

Key features include standard half brick package; input ranges of 9-40, new 16-80 and new 90-120; single output: 12,15,24, and 28-volt DC; operating efficiencies to 93 percent; case temp range of -40 to +105 C; no load to full load regulation; no opto-coupler for high reliability; nominal power to 500 Watts; galvanic isolation of 1500 volts DC; and fixed switching frequency of 300 KHz, can be synchronized from 270 to 330 kHz.

High-reliability DC-DC modules meet avionics and defense performance specifications for bus input compatibility, EMI/RFI requirements, severe environments, and operating temperatures of -40 to 105 C.

These power converters meet the U.S. Department of Defense standards such as Mil-STD-704; Mil-STD-1275; Mil-STD-461; and DO 160. For more information contact Gaia Converter online at www.gaia-converter.com.
