Two brushless high speed linear servo motors with a 0.75-inch long stroke, have a high-force-to-size ratio of 2.9 ounces and a peak force of 9 ounces.

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Moticont in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the LVCM-013-019-02 (imperial version) and the LVCM-013-019-02M (metric version) linear motors for scanners, laser beam steering and filtering, haptic feedback, dynamic vibration absorption, dispensing, work holding and clamping, assembly, testing, and wafer handling.

These miniature linear motors offer high acceleration and deceleration, and low inertia. Two brushless high speed linear servo motors with a 0.75-inch long stroke, have a high-force-to-size ratio of 2.9 ounces and a peak force of 9 ounces at a 10 percent duty cycle.

Closed-loop operation

Operated in a closed loop as a DC servi motor, these miniature linear servo motors have high accuracy and high repeatability, and are clean, quiet, reliable, and efficient. The LVCM-013-019-02 and the LVCM-013-019-02M are 1.156-inches long at mid-stroke.

The LVCM-013-019-02 has 4-40 UNC-2B threaded holes in the center of the housing and the coil end, and the LVCM-013-019-02M has M3X0.5 threaded mounting holes. Single or multi-axis plug-and-play servo controllers and linear encoders are available.
