RF cable assemblies for electronic warfare (EW) and mission-critical applications introduced by Fairview
IRVINE, Calif. – Fairview Microwave Inc. in Irvine, Calif., is introducing a series of high-reliability, temperature-conditioned RF cable assemblies for military electronics, avionics, satellite communications, electronic warfare (EW), identification-friend-or-foe, and similar mission-critical applications.
The low-loss, pre-conditioned, high-reliability cables cover operating frequencies to 18 GHz and deliver a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) as low as 1.35:1.
This product line has 128 configurations built from three different types of cable, totaling more than 1,400 parts. These cable assemblies are constructed using thermally pre-conditioned, triple-shielded coaxial RF cable and captivated stainless steel connectors, which are assembled using J-STD soldering processes and WHMA-A-620 workmanship criteria.
These cables are for mission-critical applications where the cost of failure is high and performance over time is paramount. These commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) cables are 100 percent tested and come with material lot traceability and test reporting.
