Rugged connector that incorporates power and signal contacts introduced by Amphenol
SIDNEY, N.Y., 21 Dec. 2015. Amphenol Industrial Products Group in Sidney, N.Y., is introducing the Amphe-RXS connector that incorporates power and signal contacts in one connector for space-constrained applications like 3-phase electric motors, hybrid or electric vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, and material handling.
The rugged Amphe-RXS uses Amphenol's RADSOK terminals as power contacts and either standard or high vibration (AHVB) signal terminals to produce an all-inclusive robust, mixed connector.
RADSOK technology enables high amperage, lower t-rise, low resistance and low mating forces. These power terminals can range in size from 2.4 o 5.7 millimeters to 120 amps continuous, while its signal terminals can range from size 22 to size 16.
The all-in-one connection system can accommodate a variety of easy locking solutions ranging from plastic lock tabs to small screws. Lever locks or large jack screws are not necessary due to low mating forces.
