AC-DC power supplies for industrial, test, and communications introduced by TDK Lambda
SAN DIEGO, 19 May 2014. TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. in San Diego is introducing the RWS-B series of AC-DC power supplies for industrial, test and measurement, broadcast, communications, and LED signage applications.
The power electronics device has a five-year warranty, and is designed to provide solid performance at an economical price, company officials say. The product line up has four power levels and compact case sizes, rated at 100, 150, 300, and 600 Watts.
The RWS-B operates from a universal input of 47-63 Hz, 85-265 volts AC (300 volts AC for 5 seconds), and is available with nominal outputs of 5, 12, 24, and 48 volts DC with an adjustment range of a minimum of +/-10 percent.
The convection-cooled 100- and 150-Watt models operate from -10 to 70 degrees Celsius with derating above 40 C and the fan cooled 300 and 600 Watts models to 70 C with derating above 50 C. In addition over voltage and over current protection is included.
High operating efficiencies of to 89 percent reduce internal waste heat and component temperatures, resulting in electrolytic capacitor service life ratings of at least 10 years.
The TDK-Lambda RWS-B series is certified to the safety standards of UL/CSA 60950-1, UL508 (on certain models), is CE marked according to the Low Voltage, RoHS2 Directives, and additionally evaluated to EN 60950-1. All models offer curve B conducted and radiated performance to EN55011/EN55022-B, FCC class B and VCCI-B.
