RF-over-fiber transceivers that operate on frequencies from 10 to 12 GHz introduced by Raditek
SAN JOSE, Calif., 28 Feb. 2014. Raditek International Inc. in San Jose, Calif., is introducing RF-over-fiber transceivers that can be configured as stand-alone one-way transmitters and receivers or as two-way transceivers with transmitters and receivers plus a power supply in 1 RU 19-inch rack mountable shelves.
The units use two optical fibers for transmitting and receiving optical signals. Transmit and receive can be combined into one optical fiber that connects two transceivers, where signals are streaming in both directions simultaneously.
Shelves can include as many as four mixed transmitters and receivers of any frequency from 10 to 12 GHz. Each transmitter and receiver has a green LED that indicates correct optical operation.
