MINNEAPOLIS, 20 Feb. 2014. E-Switch Inc. in Minneapolis is introducing the R7 series rocker switch for applications in transportation equipment, industrial machinery, marine, and boating.
The R7 series rugged switch has an ergonomic, panel mount design, and offers solder, screw, or faston termination options. It also offers several actuator styles and functions, and red, green, and amber light-emitting diode (LED) colors.
The R7 series rocker switch is IP67 rated to the front panel. Specifications include contact rating of 20(8) amps at 125/250 volts AC, 50/60 Hz, micro T55; 16 amps at 6 to 30 volts DC, 50/60 Hz, micro T55; 20(8) amps at 125/250 volts AC, 50/60 Hz, micro T85/T55; and 16 amps at 6 to 30 volts DC, 50/60 Hz, micro T85/T55.
Additional specifications include electrical life of 10,000 cycles per UL61058; contact resistance of 20 Ohms maximum initial; insulation resistance of 100 Ohms minimum at 500 volts DC; and dielectric Strength of 1,500 volts AC for 1 minute.
The switches operate in temperatures from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, can be stored in temperatures from -20 to 85 degrees C, and have agency approvals of cURus.
Additionally, the switches have a contact arrangement of SP or DP for as many as three positions; moisture protection of IP67 to front panel; and a panel thickness of 1.5 4.5 millimeters.
