Mercury Systems is platinum award winner for RFM3103s/RFM3113 SOSA-aligned microwave dual upconverter
NASHUA, N.H. – Military & Aerospace Electronics and Intelligent Aerospace have recognized Mercury Systems in Andover, Mass., as a platinum-level winner in the publications' 2020 Innovators Awards for the company's RFM3103s/RFM3113 SOSA-aligned microwave dual upconverter.
The RFM3103s/RFM3113 is designed for demanding electronic warfare (EW) applications. The dual upconverter offers high dynamic range and performance operation from 6 to 18 GHz with low phase noise and an internal local oscillator (LO).
Optimized for future upgradeability, the RFM3103s/RFM3113 is packaged in a low size, weight, and power consumption (SWaP) 3U module and is for electronic attack, ELINT, and beamforming systems.
SOSA alignment means that this product is designed to meet the latest in open systems standards supporting commonality among products. The design streamlines the deployment of the latest technology by increasing accessibility, efficiency, and maintaining interoperability and configurability.
The 2020 Military & Aerospace Electronics and Intelligent Aerospace Innovators Awards are to recognize products as solutions to difficult aerospace and defense systems design challenges. The awards are in three tiers: platinum, gold, and silver. The awards were announced on 7 Sept. 2020.
Engaged for early standard alignment, the RFM3103s/RFM3113 integrates high-performance RF that currently is available only in a custom form factor with a SOSA-aligned architecture.
