7 Jan. 2019 -- The tank’s main weapon is the auto-loading A82 125-millimeter smoothbore cannon, which will be replaced with a more powerful 152-millimeter cannon in later versions. The main gun also will fire anti-tank guided weapons.

Russia’s main tank manufacturer Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) will build 132 T-14 Armata tanks and T-15 heavy infantry fighting vehicles. Russian ground forces should receive 100 T-14 tanks over the next three years.

The first T-14 tanks will deploy with the 1st Guards Tank Regiment of 2nd Guards Tamanskaya Motor Rifle Division, garrisoned in Moscow and part of Russia’s Western Military District.
