The Military & Aerospace Electronics take:
20 Feb. 2019 -- These two teams are helping to determine future Army EW doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures, experts say. The signals intelligence systems are prototypes, some of which are already fielded. Team members are learning how to incorporate other parts while reviewing the EW capability's effectiveness.
The combined system includes a Sabre Fury and a VROD Modular Adaptive Transmit (VMAX), which provides information and messaging to the Raven Claw system, which processes that information to enhance EW planning. The system deciphers who's talking and where he is talking from.
The U.S. Army teams see the frequencies in use by looking at a screen, which looks like a radio with dials. Team members can see where each signal is coming from in space and time. The purpose is to give commanders real-time information.
