ORLANDO, Fla., 18 January 2005. DME Corp. has been awarded a contract to design, develop and manufacture test systems for the U.S. Marine Corps. The anticipated total value of the awarded contract is $138 million for the period of six years with options.

DME will provide Third Echelon Test Systems (TETS) and related data and supplies to the Marine Corps. TETS is a portable, automated test unit used to test and diagnose electronic, electro-mechanical, electro-optic, and radio frequency modules for a wide variety of weapons systems and equipment. The contract, which runs through 2010, calls for the delivery of up to 100 new systems and the retrofit of over 200 others. The initial task order is scheduled for completion in June 2006.

DME was awarded the contract through a full and open competition, conducted by the Marine Corps Systems Command, in Quantico, Va. The company will perform the work at their Orlando Division, located in the University of Central Florida Research Park. It is anticipated that the project will involve and support more than 40 DME employees at the Orlando site.

"We at DME Corporation are very pleased to be selected for this vital program, and grateful for the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our national defense. We look forward to our continued work on behalf of the United States Marine Corps," stated Luis Mola, DME president and CEO. "We are proud of our expertise and capabilities in military test equipment, and honored by the confidence demonstrated by the United States Marine Corps in awarding the company this contract."

The TETS program builds upon DME's successes in the military test equipment market. The new contract follows recent awards totaling more than $17 million for development and production of the Consolidated Automated Support Systems (CASS) test program sets in support of the F/A-18 and H-60 aircraft.

"There are not many companies in this nation that possess the technical expertise and capabilities required by the United States Marine Corps for this project," said Congressman Tom Feeney (R-FL). "The fact that they have selected one of our local, home-based companies for this intricate and vitally important work is a testament to the types of world-class companies we have here in Florida, and Orlando in particular."

DME Corp. was founded in 1976 by President and CEO Luis Mola, and is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. DME is an industry leader in automated test systems, as well as a provider of training and simulation devices, aircraft lighting and safety equipment, and logistics support services for Department of Defense, FAA, and industry. DME is a privately owned corporation that employs 300 throughout the U.S., with annual revenues of $40 million. For more information, see www.dmecorp.com.
