8-pound handheld spectrum analyzers for detecting hidden transmitters introduced by Anritsu
MORGAN HILL, Calif., 18 Aug. 2010. Anritsu Co. in Morgan Hill, Calif., is introducing the MS272xC Spectrum Master handheld spectrum analyzer that has frequency coverage to 43 GHz for monitoring over-the-air signals, locating interferers, and detecting hidden transmitters. Five models are available, all which weigh less than eight pounds, with high-end frequency coverage of 9 GHz, 13 GHz, 20 GHz, 32 GHz, and 43 GHz.
The MS272xC Spectrum Master test and measurement devices eliminates the need to carry heavy benchtop spectrum analyzers into the field to measure signals above 20 GHz, and can be ordered with a channel scanner and interference analyzer to conduct all common field measurements, including optional 3G/4G options to measure LTE, HSPA+, W-CDMA, CDMA/EV-DO, GSM/EDGE, TD-SCDMA/HSDPA, and WiMAX signals.
The unit has a sweep time of 27 seconds for a 43 GHz span with a 30 kHz RBW, and delivers phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset at 1 GHz and dynamic range of 101 dB. Designed with a broadband preamplifier, the handheld spectrum analyzers have sensitivity of -159 dBm at 1 GHz and -145 dBm at 43 GHz to detect small signals.
An analysis package and Anritsu's Master Software Tools help evaluate measurement data. The unit has a rugged housing can withstand the day-to-day field use, and operates in temperature from -10 to 55 degrees Celsius, and has a daylight viewable display with red night vision, black and white mode, and two color modes.
