SUNNYVALE, Calif., 11 Aug. 2013. KRYTAR Inc. in Sunnyvale, Calif., is introducing the model 4100400 180-degree hybrid coupler for splitting and combining RF and microwave signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beam-forming networks in a wide range of commercial and military applications.
The RF and microwave device delivers 3 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 10 to 40 GHz in one compact package. The 4100400 operates from 10 to 40 GHz with phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include amplitude imbalance: plus-or-minus 1.0 dB; phase imbalance is plus-or-minus 12-degrees; isolation is >12 dB; maximum VSWR: 1.8; and insertion loss of <1.7 dB.
KRYTAR's hybrid coupler offers wide frequency coverage and provides low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. This hybrid coupler lends itself to emerging wireless broadband designs and many test and measurement applications. This coupler also can be manufactured to meet military specifications.
The model 4100400 hybrid coupler handles 20 Watts of average power and 3 kilowatts of peak power. The device measures 0.86 inches long by 1.1 inches wide by 0.5 inches high, and weighs 1.2 ounces.
The devices offers 2.4-millimeter female connectors standard and 2.92-millimeter K-type female connectors are optional. Operating temperature is -54 to 85 degrees Celsius.
