DARPA to brief industry on upcoming research contracting opportunities next month
ARLINGTON, Va., 23 June 2013. U.S. government researchers will brief industry next month on upcoming contracting opportunities in communications, electronic warfare, surveillance, navigation, and battle management.
Scientists from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Strategic Technologies Office (STO) will conduct a two-day industry meeting on 16 and 17 July 2013 to present the STO strategy for program development and describe its areas of interest, including Battle Management, Command and Control (BMC2), Communications and Networks, Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT).
Briefings will be at the DARPA Conference Center at 675 N. Randolph St. in Arlington, Va. Briefings also will include a presentation on the DARPA Air Dominance Initiative (ADI). Presentations topics are the basis for future DARPA solicitations, officials say.
The first day, 16 July is at the secret collateral security level, and everyone attending must have a secret personnel security clearance. For those without secret clearances, some material from the 16 July presentations will be at unclassified sessions on 17 July. Private meetings with STO program managers will be available on 17 July.
Those interested may register for the 16 July classified sessions or the unclassified sessions on 17 July, but not both. Attendance is limited to the first 150 registrants for each day.
