WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio, 23 June 2005. Air Force leaders are looking to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in San Diego to provide ground-based control stations for the Predator unmanned aerial vehicle.
General Atomics is working under terms of a $30.8 million contract awarded June 2 from the Air Force Aeronautical Systems Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The contract number is F33657-02-G-4035-003901.
The contract includes two fixed facility ground-based control stations; one dual control; 19 enhancement modification kits; two multi-aircraft controls; six MD-1C containerized digital control segments; Ku support for containerized digital control set; and ground data terminal for containerized digital control segments.
