Lockheed Martin to provide operations, planning, training, and resource support services to U.S. Army
ORLANDO, Fla., 28 June 2011. Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) won a contract from the U.S. Army Forces Command to deliver Operations, Planning, Training, and Resource Support Services (OPTARSS II) in support of flight operations, including airfield and unmanned aerial vehicles, deployment and reset requirements, force protection programs, mobilization planning and execution, range training, and modeling and simulation. Lockheed Martin is one of 13 companies awarded a role in the five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a cumulative ceiling value of $2.5 billion for all contractors.
