NTSB officials issued an investigative update on the crash of Asiana Flight 214 on 15 July 2013. In it, they indicated that they were moving the NTSB investigation from the on-scene phase in San Francisco, closing the on-scene NTSB command post and wrapping up their work at the airport.
The investigative team has completed the examination of the airplane wreckage and runway, and the wreckage will stored securely at San Francisco International Airport and will still be available for further examination, if necessary.
