TSA to deploy Implant Sciences desktop explosive trace detectors at multiple U.S. airports

WILMINGTON, Mass., 13 Nov. 2014. U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials in Washington needed an effective method of detecting explosive materials at multiple airports across the U.S. They found their solution at Implant Sciences Corp. (OTCQB:IMSC), a high-technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets in Wilmington, Mass. TSA officials have placed an initial order for 1,170 QS-B220 Desktop Explosive Trace Detectors and ancillary supplies.

The QS-B220 uses Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to detect and identify trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives. The QS-B220 combines a radioactive material-free design, push-button maintenance and diagnostics, and a patented inCal internal automatic calibration system.
