Philippine Airlines selects SITA to upgrade the airlines network infrastructure
MANILA, Philippines - Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) in Manila announced it was continuing its partnership with Geneva, Switzerland's SITA, an air transport technology company, to manage and upgrade the airline’s network infrastructure and end-user computing solutions over the next five years.
Under the new agreement, SITA will provide PAL with a suite of advanced solutions, including WiFi capabilities, end-user-managed workplace services, and SITA messaging. The airline will also implement SITA’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions at both airport and off-airport locations, secured by Cloud Secure Service Edge (Cloud SSE).
The partnership is a key part of PAL’s digital transformation strategy, which includes modernizing its international network infrastructure. By integrating SASE technology, the airline plans to improve service quality, lower costs, ensure business continuity, and enhance operational efficiency. The initiative will expand PAL’s network to 77 sites, adding 15 new locations and offering a unified network and security solution under a single vendor.
