York Space Systems announces new commercial services program aimed at national security solutions
DENVER -York Space Systems in Denver announced it has introduced a new commercial services program to provide the U.S. government with national security capabilities.
The company says it is leveraging its satellite designs, which were originally developed for government customers, to offer scalable, on-demand space services. These capabilities include remote proximity operations, space domain awareness, military communications, and Earth observation.
"National security threats are evolving, and space is at the forefront of the fight," said Dirk Wallinger, CEO of York. "We're now delivering fully operational, commercially hardened solutions to the table—ones that are flight-proven, rigorously tested, and available today. By offering these capabilities through a commercial services model, we provide our government customers with rapid, low-risk access to proven technologies, drastically reducing acquisition timelines and overall costs while enhancing mission agility on a Firm Fixed price model."

York’s high-volume production capabilities allow for the rapid manufacturing and deployment of space assets, providing a cost-effective and low-risk option for national security missions. The company’s secure satellite architectures support intelligence, defense, and security operations, and its services will allow the U.S. Space Force to quickly procure satellites for the upcoming CASR project.
In January, York unveiled its new M-CLASS satellite. With a payload capacity of 1,000 kilograms and 8 kW of peak power, the M-CLASS addresses the growing demand for higher power and greater mission flexibility. It enables customers to take on increasingly complex space operations, including remote proximity operations, space domain awareness, military communications, and Earth observation.
"Customers are asking for more power and capability, and the M-CLASS is our response to that strong demand signal," said Michael Lajczok, York’s chief technology officer. "This platform not only expands our product offerings, but also reinforces York's role as a trusted partner in addressing complex mission needs. We remain committed to delivering on-time solutions that empower our customers to achieve their objectives."
