Mil-spec rugged tablet computer for use in demanding outdoor environments introduced by AAEON Technology
TAIPEI, Taiwan – AAEON Technology in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the RTC-1020 10.1-inch rugged mobile tablet computer for applications in harsh conditions such as construction site inspection, mechanical maintenance, and inventory management.
The RTC-1020 offers greater battery capacity and higher screen readability than previous models, and a preinstalled LTE module.
Suited to outdoor environments, the RTC-1020 can operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius, has an IP65-compliant environmental sealing, and meets MIL-STD-810H drop and shock stress testing.
RED certification means the RTC-1020 can be purchased with a preinstalled LTE module, while the device also has an upgrade in Wi-Fi speed and bandwidth due to its support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, which improves on the previous generation's Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
For wireless navigation, the RTC-1020 supports as many as three global navigation satellite systems, with GPS and Galileo being the device's default, and GLONASS and BeiDou also available.
The RTC-1020 also provides continuous operation via two hot-swappable 51.1-Watt lithium-ion batteries. The battery capacity is also 50 percent greater than the previous RTC rugged tablet computer model.
Providing a choice of onboard Intel Core i5-1145G7E, Core i3-1115G4E, or Celeron 6305E processors, the RTC-1020 contains as many as 4 cores/8 threads of processing power alongside onboard LPDDR4X system memory.
The tablet computer's I/O features a Micro-HDMI, COM (RS-232/422/485), and Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, in addition to USB 3.2 Gen 2 via Type-A and Type-C ports. The RTC-1020 is equipped with a 5-megapixel front and 8-megapixel rear camera, and has an 800 nit TFT LCD screen.
Options include hand and shoulder straps, a docking station, a charging dock, enhanced battery packs, and power adaptors. For more information contact AAEON online at www.aaeon.com.
