SOSA-aligned 3U VPX embedded computing card for harsh-environment defense and avionics offered by Kontron
ISMANING, Germany – Kontron AG in Ismaning, Germany, is introducing the VX307H 3U VPX plug-in card for high-performance embedded computing in harsh-environment defense, avionics, and transportation applications.
Designed to Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) specifications it is based on the Intel Xeon D-2700 processor with availability in 12-, 16-, and 20-core versions.
The VX307H 3U VPX embedded computing card is as much as 2.97 times faster than the previous generation and adapts to small size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) blade applications.
Features include VITA 48.8 air-flow-through (AFT) cooling and specialized built-in instructions for artificial intelligence and digital signal processing.
Connectivity options include 100 Gigabit Ethernet and as many as 16 PCI Express Gen4 interconnects to avoid expansion-plane bottlenecks for high-density computing in command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR).
The VX307H offers long term availability with 10-years typical life cycle, and is designed in France to enable exemption from International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restrictions. For more information contact Kontron online at https://kfrlabs.kontron.com/vpx.php.
