BURLINGAME, Calif., 10 March 2006. Tangent, a provider of technology solutions for government markets, has introduced the VITA 7500S, an all-in-one LCD personal computer measuring 3.5 inches thick and weighing 21 pounds.
The VITA 7500S integrates a 17-inch LCD touch-screen display into a slim chassis designed to fit ergonomically into any office or field environment.
VITA has various wall-mount options, including a vertical lift mount. VITA can also be used on computer carts to meet the most demanding mobile needs.
The VITA 7500S carries a suggested retail price of $1,495.
VITA consumes 150W, versus the typical 450W to 500W for PC-CRT combos. Data entry is offered via stylus or optional touch-screen display. The display has a tilt range from -5 degrees to +25 degrees.
VITA runs Microsoft Windows XP Pro and ships standard with an Intel Pentium 4 processor, integrated graphics, slim DVD/CD-RW, 6-in-1 media reader, built-in speakers, 512K of DDR SDRAM (expandable to 2GB), 120GB ATA hard drive, and 10/100 Ethernet. Available options include touch screen, WIFI 802.11b/g, and TV-tuner.
