System host board based on Intel Nehalem and Westmere CPUs introduced by WIN Enterprises for military and medical applications

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 6 July 2010. WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the MB-80100 PICMG 1.3-style system host board (SHB) for embedded computing in military, scientific, medical, seismic, and meteorology applications. The SHB computer boards support twin multicore Intel Nehalem and Westmere processors, as well as the Intel LGA 1366 processor socket that enables CPU scalability across the Nehalem and Westmere multicore processor families.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 6 July 2010. WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the MB-80100 PICMG 1.3-style system host board (SHB) for embedded computing in military, scientific, medical, seismic, and meteorology applications.

The SHB computer boards support twin multicore Intel Nehalem and Intel Westmere processors, as well as the Intel LGA 1366 processor socket that enables CPU scalability across the Nehalem and Westmere multicore processor families.

The MB-80100 has the Intel 5520 chipset, FireWire, an LSI 1068E RAID chip, and PCI-X. The MB-80100 provides as many as 20 lanes of 64-bit PCI-Express support. The integrated memory controller of the Intel Nehalem and Westmere processors enables parallel processing performance. MB-80100 supports dual- and quad-core Nehalem, and quad- and six-core Westmere processors.
