With its parallel processor, the microcontroller provides AI-based use cases such as motor control, battery management, or vehicle motion control.

MUNICH – Infineon Technologies AG in Munich is introducing the AURIX TC4Dx microcontroller for next-generation software-defined vehicles.

Based on 28-nanometer technology, the AURIX TC4Dx offers performance and high-speed connectivity, virtualization, artificial intelligence (AI), safety, cyber security, and networking. Microcontrollers control and monitor vehicle motion control, advanced driver assistance systems, and chassis.

The AURIX TC4Dx features a multi-core architecture with the 500 MHz 6-core TriCore with lock-steps for safety. With its parallel processor, the microcontroller provides AI-based use cases such as motor control, battery management, or vehicle motion control.

The microcontroller has a software ecosystem and includes networking accelerators to boost Ethernet and CAN communications, and interfaces such as 5-gigabit-per-second Ethernet, PCI Express, 10Base-T1S, and CAN-XL.

The AURIX TC4Dx also fulfills latest cyber security standards according to ISO/SAE21434 including post-quantum cryptography support. For more information contact Infineon online at www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/promopages/aurix_tc4dx.
