eXtremeDB for HPC includes the standard features in eXtremeDB, and a blazingly fast storage engine delivering scalability and advanced analytical capabilities. Offering row-oriented storage for OLTP data and columnar-storage for time-series data, it has a library of over 100 functions for performing statistical analysis on time-series data. It supports sharding which allows the distribution of data over multiple physical nodes, or partitions on the same node, maximizing CPU load and exploiting storage media I/O concurrency.
