Platform independent eXtremeDB is an ultra-small footprint, in-memory database system designed explicitly for mission- and safety-critical applications and embedded systems. The highly configurable and robust kernel is designed to run with or without an operating system and offers a small-footprint, performance-optimized run-time. It makes no dynamic allocations of any kind, so it’s guaranteed not to exhaust memory, uses proprietary, optimized purpose-specific memory managers and has no dependencies on the C run-time or any third-party modules.
