KVH Industries in Middletown, R.I., is introducing the TACNAV Moving Map Display (MMD) that offers real-time moving map technology for military vehicles. The TACNAV MMD provides an easy-to-read, easy-to-use graphical navigation capability by combining internal or external global positioning system (GPS) and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) with TACNAV's inertial or compass-guided navigation. Warfighters can view a visual map on a 10-inch diagonal, color display, and can create, store, and activate waypoints and routes from the touchscreen. The TACNAV MMD shows position, heading, speed, cross track error, distance, and bearing to waypoint. Vehicle location and other navigation information shows on a satellite or topographic map stored on the TACNAV MMD.
