AlliedSignal develops micro-optical lighting

Optical specialists at the Optical Devices business unit of AlliedSignal Inc. in Morristown, N.J., are designing a micro-optical lighting structure for Siemens AG. This technology, which is applicable to flat-panel displays, automotive lighting, and remote-source, or large-core fiber optic lighting, can be custom designed for any light-distribution angle or intensity, and enables one lighting source to distribute light to several outlets. - J.K.
