International Rectifier (IR) in El Segundo, Calif., which specializes in energy management technology, is introducing the IRS260xD family of single-phase high-voltage ICs (HVICs) for motion-control motor applications including fans, pumps, micro, mini, and general-purpose inverter drives. The IRS260xD family of high-speed power metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) and insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) drivers offer dependent or independent high- and low-side referenced output channels with a gate drive supply range from 10 to 20 volts. The output drivers feature a high-pulse current buffer stage designed for minimum driver cross-conduction while the floating channel can be used to drive N-channel power MOSFETs or IGBTs in the high-side configuration operating up to 600 volts. The devices provide matched propagation delay for both channels and an advanced input filter to improve noise immunity in addition to negative voltage spike (Vs) immunity.
