Martek Power unveils low-noise DC-DC converters with input voltages of 5, 12, and 24 volts DC
LOS ANGELES, 8 March 2006. Engineers at Martek Power in Los Angeles are releasing the LNB series product family of high-density, ultra-low -noise, isolated DC-DC converters.
The LNB series offers output ripple of 10 mVp-p and operate over input voltage ranges of 4.5 to 7 volts DC, 8 to 16 volts DC and 18 to 36 volts DC, suiting them for embedded signal processing applications.
Packaged in industry-standard size of 1 by 2 by 0.4 inches, the low-profile DC-DC LNBs feature a rated power of 10 Watts and precisely regulated single output voltages of 3.3 volts, 5 volts, 12 volts, and 24 volts. Efficiency is more than 85 percent.
The LNB series features six-sided continuous shielding, output overvoltage protection, short circuit protection, synchronization, a -30 to 100 degrees Celsius case operating temperature range, and 1500 volts DC input/output isolation.
The MTBF is rated at 1 million. The LNB series are for medical equipment, mobile battery driven equipment, mixed analog/digital subsystems, and process/machine control equipment.
In addition, with the majority of power supply vendors discontinuing 5 volts DC and 12 volts DC input DC-DC converters, the LNB, with its industry standard footprint, can be a drop-in replacement.
