Military & Aerospace Electronics Forum starts this Thursday in San Diego; Keynote on F-35 JSF avionics kicks off the conference

SAN DIEGO, 1 June 2010. The 2010 Avionics USA conference and exhibition is beign held this Thursday and Friday this week -- June 3 – 4, 2010 -- at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego.

The 2010 Military & Aerospace Electronics Forum conference and exhibition is being held this Thursday and Friday -- June 3 – 4, 2010 -- at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego. The keynote speaker is Eric George, director of mission systems and software for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) at Lockheed Martin. He will discuss how Lockheed Martin engineers integrated commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) electronics in the next-generation fighter's avionics systems.There will also be a panel discussion on "International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Other Export Issues." Panelists include: Matthew Nolan, partner, Arent Fox; Lizbeth C. Rodriguez of Holland and Hart; and Dean Young, facilities security officer, Celestica Aerospace.Online registration is closed, attendees can still register on site on Thursday and Friday.Other session topics include: COTS Integration Challenges; Managing Obsolescence in Open Military Systems; Panel Discussion: Managing COTS Integration in Defense Systems; Thermal and Power Management in Military Systems; and Trusted Supply Chain, Anti-Tamper Issues.The conference is co-located with Avionics USA conference. The events have separate conference tracks but share the exhibit floor.
