Vertiv Liebert AFC offers as much as 20 percent lower annual energy consumption compared to fixed-screw thermal management solutions.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Vertiv Group Corp. in Westerville, Ohio, is introducing high-capacity Vertiv Liebert AFC inverter screw chiller range for data centers deploying artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) liquid cooling applications.

Available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, the models provide up to 2.2 megawatts of cooling capacity in one frame for a smaller carbon emission footprint, requiring fewer units to be installed.

The newest Liebert AFC models are high-density, outdoor, free cooling chillers, and comply with regulatory requirements in the EU. By pairing the Liebert AFC chillers with chilled water, operators can address the cooling needs of co-location and cloud data centers.

Vertiv Liebert AFC offers as much as 20 percent lower annual energy consumption compared to fixed-screw thermal management solutions. The inverter-driven compressor helps reduce energy consumption and, in particular, the electrical power required during peaks.

The regulation algorithms offer control of the fluid delivery temperature to the indoor units. The unit operates with R1234ze HFO refrigerant, which helps data center owners comply with the EU F-Gas Regulation 2024/573.
