Navy researchers conduct classified briefings about future use of unmanned systems on 4 Feb. in Washington
WASHINGTON – U.S. Navy researchers will brief industry on 4 Feb. 2025 on the Navy's current needs in development, prototyping, and employment of unmanned systems.
Officials of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington announced plans on Tuesday to conduct two separate two-hour briefings on 4 Feb. 2025 as part of the NavalX and DCO UxS Industry Day.
Briefings will be in Washington, D.C., from 9 to 11 a.m., and from 1 to 3 p.m. The event location will be supplied upon confirmation of proper clearance. Briefings will be classified.
Classified briefings
Briefings will include a classified briefing from the U.S. Navy’s Disruptive Capabilities Office (DCO). The Office will provide an overview of its organization, processes, and the operational problems that the DCO is working on, within the larger strategic context. Other agenda items will be announced as the event nears.
To accommodate as many attendees as possible, NavalX will host two sessions, each covering the same material. One-on-one sessions may be available.
